Miscarriage of Justice

Elena Maria Vidal is rightly "shocked to read that many women who lose their babies through accidents are being prosecuted" — Pregnant Women under Attack? One has to wonder, are these laws a misguided backdoor attempt by social conservatives to criminalize abortion?

Those are very well intentioned laws for sure, and the protection of the unborn as persons is necessary.

However I don't find it shocking given that the U.S. justice system has degraded utterly at the Federal level (98% conviction rate) and increasingly at the state level to the point that it almost matches the level of arbitrary imprisonment and execution painted in "The Gulag Archipelago."

America seems to have its own Gulag Archipelago, and we didn't even have to wait for FEMA to open the camps for it to happen.

Thank you for the link! I think that the laws designed to protect unborn children are good but overzealous prosecutors are abusing them.
