Get Low (2009)

One of the better in-flight films I've seen was Get Low (2009), said to have been "spun out of equal parts folk tale, fable and real-life legend about the mysterious, 1930s Tennessee hermit who famously threw his own rollicking funeral party... while he was still alive."

Catholics will enjoy the dominant theme of penance, worked out with fear and trembling in a thoroughly Protestant setting. Localists will enjoy the scene in which Bill Murray's character, played with very bland generic American pronunciation, is asked by Robert Duvall's character, "You from anywhere?"
