Where Typewriting Lives

"The sale of the last typewriters made by Godrej & Boyce of Mumbai, (almost) the world's last typewriter manufacturer, has brought gushing obituaries for the days of metal alphabets, oily insides and bi-colored ribbons," reports Raja Murthy — Last of the Typewritans. "Yet in the city's historic Fort area, a cacophony of pounding keys can still be heard as affidavits and letters are churned out without need of hard drives or risk of hacker attacks."
