Inhuman Obama

  • "I couldn’t make it up if I tried," says reporting this bizarre news — Presidential Signature for Patriot Act Extension Carried Out by Robot. "Machine signs bill into law while pres. is away."

  • "For the record, on a scorecard of imposed misery, from secret trials and prisons and the hounding of whistleblowers and the criminalizing of dissent to the incarceration and impoverishment of his own people, mostly black people, Obama is as bad as George W. Bush," says's John Pilger — Welcome to the Violent World of Mr. Hopey Changey.

  • "Obama flouts the War Powers Resolution," reports The Freeman's Sheldon Richman; "One week ago today the clock ran out on the Libyan intervention, yet Obama has neither ceased operations nor asked for authorization" — Lawless Government.

I haven't seen Godfrey Reggio's third installment of the Qatsi trilogy (clips I've seen freak me out). But his "thesis" in that film is along the lines of the President's autopen signing:

We live in a world where the real, organic and natural is increasingly being fused with the unreal, mechanical, technological.

    We are becoming cyborgs.

Charlie Chaplin spoke against this, in a way, in his speech at the end of "The Great Dictator"; where he advised us not to become "machine men with machine minds and machine hearts"

    Very transhuman.

I haven't seen the third either, but will have to.
