Beautiful. Thank you.

I spent my free time over the Easter period re-watching the Kenneth Clark's wonderful 1969 BBC production "Civilisation". If you have not seen it I would very much recommend it to you and your readers. Very much a personal exploration by Clark of how Western Europe evolved after the collapse of the Roman Empire and produced the ideas, books, buildings and works of art and great individuals that make up a civilisation (and no doubt considered now by many to be old fashioned and at times, not politically correct). This program would be unlikely to be made today. Hope it's your cup of tea!
