Blonde Melanesians

Gene Expression had two posts on the interesting subject a while back — Blondes of the ‘black islands’ and Blondism in Melanesia. There are a number of blonde kids (and, more surprisingly for me, Polynesian-looking kids) among these Solomon Islands kids singing "Mi Lovem You Jesus" — White River SDA Childrens Choir.

Genetics are fascinating. The other day my mother and I were discussing the interesting traits of children born of parents from different tribes (we're Nigerian) and you see some unexpected features such as green/blue-ish eyes (one of our friends from church is of mixed Yoruba-Igbo parentage and has very beautiful hazel-green eyes).
For us of the Igbo people, there are also different genetic groups within the 'tribe'. My father comes from the 'red' people and such clans like ours were infamous for having very light skin and tall builds whereas my mother is from the more typical Igbo stock - very dark skinned, short statured etc. Travelling through Nigeria, I've even seen naturally (non-albino) auburn haired people.
It's all most intriguing!
Intriguing indeed, as has what little I've read of the Igbo people.
when BEAUTIFUL wonders like this exist around the world. It PAINS me to be reminded that I am living in the United States.
Is somebody know the lyrics of "Mi Lovem You Jesus' song? can you please share with me?
