Anti-Confucian Anti-Quote of the Day

Exposed is a man who says "my dignity consists not in any social roles I inhabit but instead in my capacity to choose my roles and identities for myself" — Michael Sandel's Liberalism. "Do all academic liberals believe this, and are they this blunt? Amazing -- no obfuscation here, and Sandel deserves to be labelled an enemy of the true and good."

Not just anti-Confucian, but anti-Thomist and anti-Aristotlean as well. Of course, that makes sense, since there isn't anything in Confucian philosophy that is incompatible with Thomas and Aristotle!

Right indeed! I was interested in reading this fellow's book, but it seems he's an enemy of traditional thinking.
