The Persecution of Julian Assange

"This entire incident reminds me of what the Soviets used to do," says Conservative Heritage Times' Bede, noting, "If there was someone they wanted to discredit, they would smear the person with charges of homosexuality[, b]ut today, in our politically correct world, this is no longer acceptable, so the new tactic is to smear with bogus charges of rape or child pornography" — Dennis Mangan on Julian Assange.

Why is Pay Pal only now freezing the WL account?

And why would Amazon have hosted WL for so long?

I don't get how these companies operate.

Helen Thomas flips out one day and is sent to the dust bin of history.

WL "embarrasses" world leaders and puts innocent lives at risk the world over, and some of the largest internet companies aid and abet WL for so long?

It may be the opposite question that is relevant: why did they suddenly stop?

There are those that would seek to boycott Amazon and PayPal for cutting off Wikileaks. This article points out that perhaps the sudden decision wasn't theirs to make.
