I've often thought that people in many strata of society are behaving more like psychopaths than human beings, and I've wondered why that might be.
In seeing the sophistry of nihilism as presented by Nietzche (discussed by Peter Kreeft), my answer now is "could it be your philosophy?"
Indeed. With the family, the basic unit of any society, under such assault, is it any wonder that this reversion to barbarism is occurring?
Dr. Drew, a reality-show celebrity and (in my humble opinion) a bit of a narcissist himself, has written a pretty interesting book on the topic: "The Mirror Effect: How Celebrity Narcissism Is Seducing America."
