"Dressed in a trench coat, Gwon was often seen praying, reading English newspapers, or writing her diary in English," the report informs us — '71-year-old homeless lady reads English daily'.

"Contrasting to her destitute lifestyle, her intellectual background reveals she has graduated from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, majoring in French language and literature" and "has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 15 years.

"Although she refuses to talk about her vagabond nature, the old lady expresses dignity towards her past and explains the reason why she has remained unmarried. 'I saw no need to marry a man I was not interested in.'"
