The suggestion that both Japanese and Korean be counted among the Ural-Altaic Languages is not new.

It seems from what is written at those links that the proposed connection is weak at best, but I like to indulge in fanciful conjecture, so I'm not opposed to the notion.

Thanks for posting this, it's been a while since I had a good linguistic fix.

I had a buddy who was from Finnland. He taught me a few things, mostly creative obscenities.
