Teen Boy Suicides

"Is the homosexual community -- and the Catholic Church -- ignoring the darker, disturbing possibility that early sexualization and labeling of same-sex attracted adolescents drives these children into a secret despair?" asks Marjorie Campbell — Theology of the Boy.

I fully agree with this. Having some or total same-sex attraction is in itself not a significant source of turmoil. That religious fundamentalists and gay activists (they're peas in a pod) demand that that'gay' be an indelible identity is the source of angst and despair.

These two groups simply couldn't exist without each other and they define words, thought, and the train wreck of discourse in our society. It needs to end, and if it does, I suspect those with SSA will be able to cope with it in a way that is far more holy...and less lethal.

When Germaine Greer's 'The Boy' was published, and a certain amount of similar material was floating about (as it still is), I thought that someone should answer it by Magisterially obedient reference to the Patristic exegesis of Luke 2:39-52. I still do think that.
