The New CPR

With a video, Lew Rockwell tells us it "is far more effective at saving a life, and you do not need to be certified to perform it" — How To Save a Man’s Life.

"and you do not need to be certified to perform it."

Wonderful News. The next time someone is in need of CPR I won't have to just stand there and watch him kick off because I wasn't certified.

Those health and safety certifications certainly can be a problem. Just the other day I was forced to watch a man drown because I wasn't a certified lifeguard. It would have been easy enough to pull him out, but ruled are ruled and certifications are certifications.

I recently read about some cops, in Canada I believe, who watched a girl drown because they weren't certified lifeguards.

Western Confucian writes : "I recently read about some cops, in Canada I believe, who watched a girl drown because they weren't certified lifeguards."

That is sickening, my first reaction is to throw them down a well to watch them swim.

When a libertarian blog writes about CPR that can be done without certification, who knows how prevalent such a sickening mentality is, but it's more pervasive than I would have imagined yesterday.

Here's the story, which took place in England and invloved a boy: Officers 'not trained' to rescue drowning boy. They were, howeverm trained in "race and diversity."

Here's more: Boy's drowning prompts call to scrap PCSOs and Police defend drowning death case.

"If you're walking down the street and you see a child drowning you automatically go in that water," said the boy's mother. "You don't care if you're going to lose your job or not, you don't care do you?"
