"Vive la Contre-Révolution"

Mark Hackard translates a remarkable "[s]peech delivered by Ivan A. Ilyin in Berlin, November 19th, 1923" titled "The Sovereign Meaning of the White Army" which the reader who sends it along calls "one of the most moving pieces I have read in a long time; manly theology" — Spirit and Resistance.

Of course, today, to even introduce this around people who haven't already studied this topic to some extent will render one a "racist."

Think about it.

He triumphs who agrees to lose everything to save something of God’s.

And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying: Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: because the accuser of our brethren is cast forth, who accused them before our God day and night.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of the testimony, and they loved not their lives unto death. Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you that dwell therein.
[Rev 12:10-12]

Good words to hear for us in our time. I almost feel that in this time of darkness in the US those words were as much meant for us as for Russia.

Indeed. I just don't know if we are Russia in 1917 or 1989, or a strange admixture of both.
