Gregorio Allegri's Miserere Mei, Deus Performed by The Sixteen, Directed by Harry Christophers

Above, a composition some consider the pinnacle of the tradition outlined by Lucille A. Flynn — A Brief History of Catholic Church Music. Sure beats the "love-your-neighbor and in-praise-of-nature tunes accompanied by guitars, xylophones, drums, piano, trumpets, body-swaying, and hand-clapping" of the past two generations.
