No wonder everyone is requiring log-ins to comment. I can understand it now, even if it is a pain.
Anyway, I loved that piece, which is such a beautiful evocation of the need for self-abandonment in the Christian life.
I've deleted the spam. I think it's easier for a small blog like mine to delete a few messages of week rather than cause inconvenience to real commenters.
That said, I just stumbled upon that beautiful piece searching for something seasonally appropriate. Googling "Thomas Quasthoff" brings up a lot of good stuff I'll be posting in days to come.
