North Korean Headline of the Week

Yet another "desperate attempt to attract attention and gain new promises of aid" — Pyongyang threatens South Korean civilian flights and seeks aid from Washington. The author quotes Andrei Lankov: "They are afraid that the U.S. will start ignoring them, so they will be unable to extract aid and concessions they hope to get."

Again, benign neglect should be our true policy when it comes to North Korea. Just ignore them and watch their socialist state wither away into the dustbin of history.
